Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore.
Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1400 students, including 120 boarders (7-12), of whom approximately 25 are international students.
As one of the eight original Grammar schools in Queensland, Townsville Grammar School was established in 1888 and has offered boarding since this time. The School has a long-standing reputation as the leading academic school in Northern Queensland, also offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12.
Townsville Grammar School is seeking an organised and professional Admissions Assistant to join the Office of Advancement. This position is offered on a term-time basis – we will consider either full-time or part-time hours.
This position plays an important role in supporting the School's enrolment processes from Pre-Prep to Year 12, while also providing administrative assistance across scholarship and bursary programs and the broader Advancement Office.

About the Role
As Admissions Assistant, you will support the efficient administration of student enrolments and provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Admissions Co-ordinator and Director of Advancement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing enrolment applications and admissions documentation
- Maintaining accurate records across admissions databases and systems
- Preparing enrolment packs
- Managing scanning, filing, archiving and electronic records
- Maintaining the organisation of the Advancement Office storeroom including merchandise, promotional materials, signage and stationary
- Supporting Open Days, information sessions and enrolment events
- Providing administrative support for scholarship and bursary programs
- Assisting with the preparation and distribution of promotional materials
- Supporting office administration, supplies and resource management
- Maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of student and family information
About You
You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within education, customer service or a professional office environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience working with databases or CRM systems, or the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A commitment to providing professional and responsive service to families, students, staff and visitors
