This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to student wellbeing, pastoral care and culture leadership. About the Role

The Director of Culture is a highly visible and influential middle leadership position responsible for leading and managing the School's Pastoral Care Framework across the North Ward, Annandale and North Shore campuses.

Working closely with Heads of Campus, Heads of House, Form Teachers, the School Leadership Team and the broader Pastoral Care Team, the Director of Culture provides strategic leadership of student wellbeing, pastoral care and culture initiatives throughout the School.

This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is relationship-focused, strategic in their thinking and committed to fostering a culture where students and staff can thrive.

  • Provide leadership and support to pastoral care teams across the North Ward, Annandale and North Shore campuses.
  • Work collaboratively with Heads of House and Form Teachers to deliver exceptional pastoral care and wellbeing programs.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that strengthen student connection, belonging, engagement and character development.
  • Oversee themed wellbeing programs, orientation activities and culture-building initiatives across the School.
  • Promote high standards in all aspects of pastoral care and student wellbeing.
  • Provide guidance and support in complex student wellbeing and pastoral care matters.
  • Foster positive relationships and a culture of disciplined, purposeful learning throughout the School.
  • Coordinate staff wellbeing initiatives and professional development opportunities relating to pastoral care.
  • Develop systems and processes to support the effective operation of pastoral care programs.
  • Build strong partnerships with students, families and staff.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the School's Strategic Vision and commitment to a "One School" ethos.
  • Model the School's values of integrity, humility, courage, respect and a positive mindset.

About You

We are seeking an educator and leader who can demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in student wellbeing, pastoral care or educational leadership.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing and development of young people.
  • The ability to build positive and productive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • The capacity to lead and influence staff in the delivery of high-quality pastoral care programs.
  • Sound judgement, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to implement initiatives that enhance school culture.
