Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore.

Applications are sought for an experience Grounds Person to work At Townsville Grammar School's North Ward campus.  This is a permanent full-time role. 

Duties of the position include:

1. Maintain all grassed areas with equipment supplied at each campus in a safe manner.
2. Maintain gardens keeping gardens pruned and weed free with equipment supplied at each campus in a safe manner.
3. Maintain School surrounds as required. Activities include: blowing down hard surface areas, and water blasting.
4. Daily rubbish bin collection – removal of rubbish and replacing liners.
5. Furniture and school equipment relocation as required.
6. Minor building maintenance and repairs as requested.
7. Spraying of weeds and pests in a safe manner, including filling out chemical logbook located at each campus

With a mature outlook, you must adhere to safe work practices while complying with all relevant policies and procedures.  Applicants are to be physically fit to fulfil their duties to a high standard as required by the School.

The successful applicant will also have or be willing and able to obtain a paid Queensland Working with Children Blue Card.
