Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore.

Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1300 students, including 120 boarders (7-12), of whom approximately 25 are international students.

As one of the eight original Grammar schools in Queensland, Townsville Grammar School was established in 1888 and has offered boarding since this time. The School has a long-standing reputation as the leading academic school in Northern Queensland, also offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12.

Applications are sought for an evening chef/cook (11:30am to 7:30pm Monday to Friday), and kitchen hands for the boarding school kitchen at our North Ward campus.  Various rosters are available for the kitchen hand positions from early morning through to evenings. The roles are available for immediate commencement. These are term time only positions .

Chefs and cooks will need experience in a professional kitchen with qualifications or equivalent trade experience including work in events and catering. A full role description can be found here.

Ideally, kitchen hand applicants will ideally be experienced in food preparation, have a current Food Safety Certificate and have experience in a school kitchen or similar environment. Training will be provided for the successful candidates. A full role description can be found here.

Applicants must hold a valid Working with Children Paid Employee Blue Card prior to commencement.
