We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head of House (Boys Boarding) to play a pivotal role in leading and supporting our boarding community. This is a residential position that requires both strong leadership and a genuine commitment to student wellbeing.

 

About the Role

 

As Head of House, you will:

•    Provide day-to-day leadership within a vibrant boarding community
•    Act in loco parentis, ensuring the wellbeing, safety, and development of students
•    Build strong, supportive relationships with students, families, and staff
•    Mentor, supervise, and roster residential boarding staff
•    Oversee the administration of records, routines, and activities
•    Promote a positive and inclusive boarding culture aligned with the School’s ethos
•    Liaise with parents, responding promptly and professionally to enquiries
•    Assist in organising events, activities, and promotional initiatives
•    Ensure facilities are safe, comfortable, and well-presented

About You

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:


•    Experience in student care, residential life, or pastoral leadership
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively across a diverse community
•    Organisational skills and the ability to manage administration with accuracy and efficiency
•    Sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and resilience in managing sensitive matters
•    The ability to foster teamwork, mentor staff, and build morale
•    A flexible, adaptable approach suited to the dynamic nature of boarding life
